Milkwood is proud to host a Writers Workshop, facilitated by Melanie Mununggurr on Wednesday 30 October, 5-7.30pm.

Be guided through a series of exercises to create your own written or spoken word piece on the theme of DIGNITY (one of Milkwood’s 4 school values).

Melanie Mununggurr is a Djapu (Yolngu) mother, poet, storyteller and performer. Melanie uses her connection to her land, culture and language to decolonise the literary and performance space through the use of Dhuwal language weaved throughout her poems. Melanie has a book of poetry to be published in the near future and has recently begun working on her first spoken word album.
